President López Obrador has made his energy priorities clear, saying that the energy model developed by the Peña Nieto administration favored private companies while dismantling CFE. Nevertheless, as electricity demand rises, the new administration must ensure an efficient and continuous electricity supply while complying with the country’s clean energy goals.
